Anaesthesia CPD Emergency Response Series: Anaphylaxis

Suitable for: Anaesthesia trainees IT and above, Anaesthesia consultants, GP anaesthetists, GP anaesthesia trainees, Anaesthesia nurses, Recovery nurses Location: HNE Simulation Centre, John Hunter Hospital Campus. Aim To prepare anaesthesia providers for managing anaphylaxis. Modules Using a combination of facilitated discussions and simulations, participants will develop and practise the skills, knowledge and attitudes required for up-to-date management of anaphylaxis. The course will incorporate the Australian and New Zealand Anaesthetic Allergy Group (ANZAAG) guidelines. This course promotes a team-based approach and anaesthesia assistants are encouraged to attend with their medical colleagues. Participants in the ANZCA CPD Program may claim this ALS course as an emergency response activity in their CPD portfolio.
