2026 FPM Webinar Series: Understanding and Surviving the Complaints Process
What happens when a complaint is made about you - and how can you navigate the process while protecting your wellbeing? In this practical webinar, Adjunct Associate Professor Liz Crowe will explain what pain specialists can expect when a complaint is made locally within a hospital or health service, to the College, or to AHPRA. Liz will provide clear, tangible guidance on how these processes may unfold and what to do at each stage. Drawing on evidence from pain medicine and the broader medical profession, Liz will examine the professional and personal impact of complaints, including what doctors commonly experience throughout the process. Most importantly, she will explore what helps - offering practical strategies and guidance for managing the experience, accessing support and protecting your wellbeing. This webinar is designed for pain specialists who may be navigating a complaint, supporting a colleague or seeking to be better prepared
