CICO Rescue Instructor Certification (CRIC) Course

An all-day certification course (0800-1700) for clinicians wishing to teach techniques in the RPH CICO Rescue Approach developed by Dr Andy Heard.  The course comprises a morning of in-depth training in teaching of Percutaneous Emergency Oxygenation Techniques (PEOT) for CICO management, lectures on the practicalities of setting up your own CICO course and approaches to skills based teaching, and formal practical and written assessment stations. The CRIC Course gives participants the credentials to teach the techniques presented in line with current ANZCA CPD recommendations. Full accreditation requires completion of pre-course online assessment, attendance at the CRIC Course, and passing in course written & practical examinations. For ANZCA CPD participants the course has an emergency response (ER) CICO code applied. Participants should be proficient at PEOT techniques prior to attending the course.
